Our clients like to talk about our centre as their ‘club’; an important place to catch up with friends, meet new people and enjoy plenty of regular and new activities. Helping to combat loneliness, keep dexterity and focus on the joy in life.
Wellbeing is our first priority and throughout the week our activities reflect varied tastes and may include: personal care pamper activities, board games, cooking, quizzes, sing-a-longs and a lot of arts and crafts.
Many clients find that their social circle increases and they become more active once they join us. You are also invited to follow us on our Facebook page to see what we get up to during the week! In this way extended families can share in activities.
“We use the Facebook page to see what Dad’s been up to. The whole family follow, his daughter in Portsmouth, even his grandchildren… Dad would be lost without the care, attention and stimulation he gets.” Christina Rose
Clients choose whether to join in or spend some of the day as quiet time. We’re on hand to guide and encourage. Trained care professionals we are also able to spot any concerning signs, either in physical or cognitive behaviour, which we can chat over with clients and their families and carers. We will also do our best to help maintain any special interests of clients as much as we possibly can.
